On Wednesday, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz went to the Senate floor to seek unanimous consent for his proposed school safety bill, but it was blocked. Senator Chris Murphy, Democrat of Connecticut, objected to the Cruz legislation and criticized him for not being serious. [More]
That means it doesn’t ban guns, so he’d rather more children be slaughtered until he gets a bill that does.

They’re forbidden to have the means of defense. Instead, those who demand they stay this way offer useless advice guaranteed to leave them at the mercy of those who have none: “Give them what they want.” [More]
The question must be asked: “What if what they want is your life?”
‘Killer’ Las Vegas Democrat slurs ‘You guys just wanna take me down because I’m a public official’ at cops during 2020 arrest for ‘throttling wife’, as he refuses to deny murdering journalist who exposed his affair [More]
As noted, that explains his reasonableness.
Little told police that Straughter had put a gun on a television stand the night before and that the gun would have been within the boy’s reach, charges said. She also said she knew the gun was there and that neither she nor Straughter moved it. [More]
I can’t tell you how many times feral sons Uday and Qusay were exposed to that exact same situation growing up.

As regulars here know, there have been a few times in the past month where various personal priorities have kept me from posting here for a day or so. One of those priorities was the birth of my first grandchild, a beautiful and healthy little girl, four weeks ago today.
Her birth was premature, by six weeks, and she was in the NICU until recently. She’s actually still not even “scheduled” to be born until nine days from now, which I guess makes her fair game for childless Stacey Abrams and communion-taking Catholics Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi.
There is no question she is a human being, and that the taking of her life, if she had not come early, would have been an act of premeditated murder. There is also no question that the development of her nervous system would make the “procedure” an act of agonizing medieval torture rivaling the disembowelment and drawing and quartering of William Wallace.
Oh, and there is also no question that she is a female.
I guess the only question I have left is since the people doing this are overwhelmingly the ones enabling those who would disarm and rule or kill me and mine if they could, why should I care if they wish to cull their next generations of voters?

I wonder what a person with those skills could do with “smart guns,” and with any “law enforcement” systems developed to disable them…

In a letter provided to AmmoLand News from Gun Owners of America (GOA), dated August 31, 2022, Inspector Hugh Bogle of the New York Police Department (NYPD) informed business owners with an active business, limited carry, special carry, or carry business license that their business might now be in a “sensitive area” and were informed to bring their guns to the police station so that the guns can be “safeguarded,” or remove them from the location. My guess is they’ll play it on the risk management CYA side and not want to be accused of being negligent for NOT reporting someone who later creates a liability. That, and politically powerful tyrant wannabes will be putting on the squeeze.
It’s typical Opposite Day “progressivism,” really– they bow to an ISO category “standard” with no clearly defined and legally supportable standards for snitch triggers.

What should you do if you used a credit card to make a gun shop purchase and the feds come knocking at your door asking to see your hardware? You should ask to see their search warrant. They won’t have one, in which case you should politely say, “Have a good day” and close and lock your door. Then call your local police and report unwanted knocking on your door by an armed stranger. [More]
As fun as that sounds, I’m not sure I’d follow his advice. In the Delaware case, they came with a state trooper plus they showed badges, and “Only Ones” generally (admittedly not always) back each other up. If I were to do as he suggests, I’d make sure to add that they say they are law enforcement but do not have a warrant. And if I did call, it would probably be to the sheriff.
