Failure All Around

“We are sorry the system failed you.” [More]

If I smother someone to death can I blame “the system”?

And does Youngkin really think that sucking up will earn him appreciative kudos?

Yes, of course, if someone can’t be trusted without a custodian that should mean the custodians assume a legal duty for his care and his welfare. But guess who doesn’t want that.

Funny, what Youngkin won’t take a stand on, like “red flags.”

But hardly surprising.

We’re the Only Ones Youth-Oriented Enough

Terranova allegedly used Snapchat to ask underage boys as young as 12-years-old for explicit photographs, prosecutors said. On one occasion, officials alleged he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old family friend, offering him a ride home from a party but instead taking him to a secluded location and directing him to engage in sex acts, prosecutors said. Curious, who they DO trust with a gun there…

Abby Who?

Officials have sent part of Lewiston mass shooter Robert Card’s brain to be tested for signs that his psychological collapse was linked to damage he may have sustained while working as a grenade instructor. [More]

Abby…Normal.

They ought to examine the brains of people who believe citizen disarmament is the answer.

Something Must Be Done!

“It’s dark here and there’s no flashing lights to say turn here to go to this school and I think something needs to be done,” nearby neighbor Janet Michaels said. [More]

Something could have been done, and is required by law, liike bike lights and a helmet, but the bike rider didn’t do any of it. Dragooning the rest of us into paying for flashing lights won’t change the reality that personal responsibility was abdicated, as sorry as we might feel for the kid who used a kid’s judgment.

But Janet’s not a kid. If her positon is “Something must be done,” it would help if she answered one simple question:

What?

Remember the adage about what the road to hell is paved with.

The Nazi snitches at “Sedition Hunters” are cowards who hide behind anonymity. Who is dumb enough to believe reporting “crimes” is their only agenda, and that they don’t have shadow backers who would make their credibility suspect if they were known?

Inextricably Bound

Gun owners are America’s fastest-growing criminal class. One state after another is enacting “Show us the gun and we’ll find the crime” laws. Judges and politicians are justifying mass disarmament in the name of “freedom from fear” — as if no one will be safe until government controls every trigger. Federal agencies consider all 20+ million marijuana users who own firearms to be felons (unless their last name is Biden). Presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden both retroactively outlawed widely-owned firearm accessories, creating new legions of potential jailbirds. At the same time many federal agencies are stockpiling automatic weapons, Biden calls for banning semiautomatic pistols and rifles owned by 50 million Americans. [More]

And as you can see from the other Intolerable Acts presented, it’s not just about RKBA.

That’s the problem with the “single issue” cop-out. Because those doing it know damn well it’s not about guns, it’s about freedom.

Elephants’ Graveyard

If you exclude African-American killers from the US crime statistics, our murder rate drops to the middle of the European pack. The left has no answer for this and for political reasons, cannot confront it with destroying a large base of their urban voting block. So they use gun control as a proposed patch to the problem except IT DOESN’T WORK. [More]

That gets back to the elephant in the room too many with influence have feared pointing out.

They’ll Know It When They See It?

“We recognize that ‘good moral character’ is a spongy concept susceptible to abuse.” [More]

Like the definition of “pornography“? Or “woman“?

I wonder if a Second Amendment advocate who believes it is a bulwark against domestic tyranny could be disqualified…

And if that would be sufficient to bring a libel suit…

Who doesn’t think $h!+ like this has an effect on the less stable and more frustrated and violence prone?

I’d love to say “Brought to you by “Godless”inclusive” Democrats, but as far as I can tell, no prominent Republican would object to Satanic rule.

Just like the Founders used to require.

Or as an old friend of mine once said:

I sometimes wonder whether the socialists will issue an edict requiring all firearms to have a pink ribbon tied to the barrel, just to get a belly laugh as the panicked descendants of once-proud American patriots scurry to comply.

A Plan Comes Together

The Biden administration is again holding up the licenses for selling more than 20,000 U.S.-made rifles to Israel over concerns about attacks by extremist Israeli settlers against Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank, two U.S. officials told Axios. [More]

No suprise there

It’s been in the making.

For a while.

There were just testing which excuse to use.

Going to the Source

Bonta’s Department of Justice will recognize only three of the eight categories of certified instructor, all three controlled by the State of California: instructors certified under the state Department of Consumer Affairs, the state Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training, or a state-accredited school to teach a firearm training course. [More]

Cut back on the instructors you cut back on the permits.

I wonder how many of the “authorized instructors” were first certified by NRA.

So much for sucking up.
