Murphy Floats Defunding Police Who Won’t Violate Second Amendment

What Murphy is doing is extorting law enforcement that refuses to waste resources enforcing edicts that clearly violate the Supreme Court’s Bruen ruling, like the Oregon sheriffs who have gone on record as refusing to go after Measure 114 magazine ban defiers. And not just them, but also on non-Democrat-dominated political jurisdictions, as exemplified by the growing number of “Second Amendment sanctuary” cities and counties (what lying, race-baiting Democrats smear as “Civil War Flashpoints”). Add to that states that not only won’t enforce infringements, but that have enacted their own laws to override them, and are fighting in court to have them upheld, like Texas suing ATF “for unlawfully prohibiting firearm silencers.” [More]

Authorized Infringers?

Jordan says the ghost gun rule “goes well beyond the authority granted to the agency in any applicable federal statutes,” and expands the legal definition of a firearm beyond what Congress intended. A prior letter from Jordan to ATF declared the rule “appears to be a deliberate attempt to usurp the authority of Congress,” and said it unconstitutionally infringes “on American citizens’ fundamental Second Amendment rights and privacy rights under the Fourth Amendment.” [More]

As long as they’re going to bring up lies, just calling questioning the election “baseless” does not make it so, nor do demands to impose coercive Marxist wealth redistribution equate with racial justice.

I’d argue going unarmed anywhere you know violent communists are going to be is not prudent. Then again, I’d also argue for being very selective about joining public displays and the part you choose to play in this era of embedded provocateurs and seditious conspiracy trials…

I’ve been a speaker and observer over the decades. Ours wasn’t the side frothing with “hostility.” Another lesson learned: You don’t do yourself any favors or advance any issues by becoming a victim or a patsy.

Can it get more in-your-face that this is about the politics of destruction than this? Among other things, this seems like a blatant punitive violation of the First Amendment. Then again, why would that slow down someone who believes they can get away with eviscerating the Second?

But OK, just make sure none of the “authorized” instructors got their certifications from NRA. Then again, those imposing this won’t mind if a shortage means New Yorkers can’t get permits– they’re no doubt counting on it.

Maybe the Moms can do the training from now on. They claim to be “commonsense gun safety” experts.

Any gun or ammunition supplier who arms New York state enforcement entities is giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

This, of course, is one more nose-thumbing at SCOTUS and its Bruen decision. It won’t stand unless we get court packing in the years it will take to go through the challenge and appeals process, and meanwhile, the state will have unlimited resources while the plaintiffs will have to scramble and compete for them.

New York Attorney General Letitia James today cracked down on online ammunition sellers illegally shipping ammunition to New York residents and failing to keep records of these sales. An investigation by the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) found that 39 ammunition sellers have been shipping ammunition directly to New York residents in violation of New York’s SAFE Act, which prohibits direct online sales of ammunition to New York residents. Attorney General James sent cease and desist orders to these ammunition sellers demanding that they stop shipping ammunition directly to New York and warned them of serious legal consequences if they continue to violate New York’s law. The reason I decided to give this one a link is not for the article itself, but for some of the comments, just to show the mentality this appeals to. The fanatic in point goes by “AE,” who at least put the lie to the “No one wants to take your guns” excuse:

Here’s what happens if you disagree:

I’ll go slow. If it weren’t for all the fearful and compensating man boys fighting for unrestricted purchase and use of firearms, there wouldn’t be any firearms in today’s society. Thus, no illegal gun problem…

There is absolutely no point in “debating” with such as these, or in establishing “common ground” dialog, as some ostensibly on “our side” are doing.
