What’s in a Name?

When Councilman Erik Bottcher heard about a federal ruling that affirmed that graphic images on cigarette packaging do not violate the constitution, he had an idea. What if he did the same for guns in New York? [More]

And “‘There is not a doubt in my mind that if there was a gun in my home, I would’ve shot myself with that gun,’ he said about his adolescence.”

You guys didn’t have rope, razor blades or household chemicals? This is the guy who wants to determine our rights?

And talk about an aptronym

If Wishes Were Fishes

Yeah, but…

Prognosis 1% chance of being enacted

Let Republican win in November and we’ll see where it goes. And Massie knows better than anyone how that works.

There’s an App for That

“Voting requires taking time off work or finding childcare, identifying your polling place, finding time to go there, waiting in line, dealing with confused/hostile people working at the polling place, and then driving or walking back to wherever you started. Not surprisingly, few people bother. The solution is simple: If we want more people to vote, we have to make it easier to do so. If voting requires just opening an app, a lot more people will do it.” [More]

Aw, gee, duty requires effort and rights require responsibility.

Democrats really are the party of the lazy and the entitled.

No Debate?

The Debate Was So Biased It Was Divorced From Reality. Trump Should Refuse To Do Another [More]

And what hay could be made from that?

His people couldn’t have foreseen who they were dealing with and established better ground rules? That hardly speaks to negotiating skills.

If I were Team Kamala, I would be challenging him to more debates and calling him a chicken if he didn’t accept.

Now that they know her tactics and how she will argue on the topics, countering them should be pre-scripted.

An Offensive Gun Use

Colorado teen shot in the face after trying to ask for permission to take photos at property, police say [More]

I suppose you could fault the teen for jumping the fence, which admittedly was not a smart thing to do, but check out the area on street view — if they wanted to make contact they didn’t have a lot of options and it’s not like it’s posted “No Trespassing.”

In any case, shooting him was unwarranted, cowardly, idiotic, and negligent to boot. That kid could end up taking all the photos he wants from his new property.

And There Was War in Hell

NO CONFIDENCE: Far-Left Smear Factory’s Union Votes by 90% to Oust President After Mass Layoffs… The move comes two months after the SPLC Union broke the news of mass layoffs at the SPLC in June. [More]

I’ve got plenty of popcorn left after the street commies wussed out at the Democrat convention, which pretty much suggests the mob leaders respond to signals from above.

Garbage In Garbage Out

Google said it fixed Gemini, but it didn’t — it’s as left-wing and woke as ever, and won’t tolerate opposition to reparations [More]

The hallucinating competition is no better.

UPDATE

Yep, it imposes itself, alright:

It failed the same test ACLU punted on.

And illustrates the danger I’ve been (almost alone in) pointing out about relying on “common use at the time.”

The Ease with Which She Lies in Front of Millions

Of course they’re talking about taking your guns.

It’s all or nothing

The psy ops is in full force, with “conservative” Frank Luntz telling lefty media that Trump’s toast. Admittedly, the guy let himself get rattled and, as in 2020, the election is his to blow, but the real focus on behavior ought to be on someone who can lie so seamlessly and with a smile, using a mask of compassion and concern to hide malevolent intent.

There’s something deeply wrong with a person who can do that.

We’re the Only Ones Courteous Enough

The laminated cards, which typically bear an image of an NYPD badge and the name of one of the city’s police unions, are not officially recognized by the police department but have long been treated as a perk of the job. [More]

So much for “equal protection”…

From the same union whose head threatened to execute you “if you lift a finger“…

‘No Notoriety’ for Mass Killers Also Means No Independently Verifiable Information

By NOT identifying the mutant, we are dependent on what ‘officials’ and their approved media megaphones tell us, cutting off independents from doing their own fact checks. [More]

Yeah, trust the government and narrative parroting media– what could be withheld?

‘On Their Radar’

Couch allegedly threw a rock at another man’s dog and when asked why he did so, he started cursing, went inside his home, and came back armed with an AR-15. He then allegedly told the man that he would kill him and the dog, per court documents. The warrant states that the man’s 9-year-old daughter was present for the entire exchange. [More]

That an a felony charge was dismissed.

I guess it’s easier just to say “AR-15” after a known nutjob goes off.

Speaking of Cheeseheads…

But there’s a voter ID-related loophole cheaters can drive a semi truckload of fraud through. In Wisconsin, voters may claim “Indefinitely Confined” status, which allows them to receive an absentee ballot without presenting proof that they are who they claim to be. [More]

Why does the Republican-controlled House and State Senate tolerate that?
