Republicans in Congress are threatening to cut off support for Ukraine unless they can force through their extreme partisan border policies. It’s political blackmail, pure and simple. The stakes are too high and the consequences are too significant for political brinksmanship. [More]
Speaking of “extreme partisan border policies“…
Any Democrat who does not see through this in-your-face gaslighting is either mentally incapable or willfully self-deluded. What does that say about those who do see through it and give their approval with their votes regardless?
“I’m stunned, honestly. They’re ‘orphaned.’ You know who’s been orphaned? The kids whose fathers are being killed by the people Polina was performing for.” [More]
Skip Coolzip comes to mind.
Yet, when these dedicated analysts came to their woke bosses, saying, “We need to pay attention to this!” Their bosses contemptuously dismissed them with something like, “Don’t worry about it” When the shallow and self-centered don’t want something to be true, they “pretend” it’s not true. That’s exactly what happened at Pearl Harbor in 1941, in Vietnam just prior to the Tet Offensive in 1968 (I was there for that one!), and in NYC in September of 2001. [More]
Ephesians 6:12 comes to mind.
David Codrea, in Firearms News reports that “While parallels to the situation in Ukraine are understandable enough to make with this new move to recruit civilians into the defense equation, the biggest similarity (and biggest mistake) is, both nations waited until the wolf was at the door to start the process. I was talking about Taiwan, but yeah, the parallels are there too.

What kind of gratitude is that after “Ukraine’s Global Voice” called Mexico’s invaders “thousands of largely peaceful migrants”? (Citing Republicans Against Trump as an authority to heed doesn’t win Kyiv any points either…)

State Reps. Phoenix City Council approves plan to send hundreds of unclaimed guns to Ukrainian police force – No city or taxpayer funds will be used to transport the weapons, the council agenda item said. [More]
No, but funds will be used to process this, and more will be forfeited by “giving away” what could be sold. If they’re so flush they can afford that, I guess they won’t really be needing any tax increases. Right?
Ain’t it just like Democrats — giving away what’s not theirs and then taking credit for being generous? Exactly the opposite of the way true generosity is supposed to be.

Mexican TV reports that dozens of U.S. AT-4 weapons systems, which were originally shipped to Ukraine, have been purchased by Cartel Golfo in Mexico. [More]
I’m suspecting a misinterpretation and/or sloppy reporting because the source report only says:
“The weapon, which is only sold to armies and has been widely used during the invasion of Ukraine, was in the hands of a hitman from Los Escorpiones, a cell of the Gulf cartel, which operates in Reynosa.”
If weapons are being redirected from Ukraine, this, as stated, doesn’t prove it.
Besides, we know how the cartels get their weapons.
