Embedded links in this old post no longer work and I don’t have time to find archive links, but the text remains true. Funny, how the same fundraising groups who call “I will not comply” gun owners “extremists” are the same ones who won’t admit immigration is a threat they ignore at our peril.

This is one area where “in common use” will work in our favor, but the proponents know that. They’re just in-your-face harassing and know that if they do pass this abomination, the state has unlimited tax plunder to dip into, whereas gun groups will have to once more go to shallow pocket donors for legal costs.

HB 4145 started as another one of the Democrats’ annual attacks on liberty, property, and the Constitution. In its final form, it became a bill that delayed the worst provisions of MZ 114 and bought gun owners more time to avoid arrest and fight this insanity in court. If the Oregon Supreme Court invalidates MZ 114, HB 4145 does nothing. Either way, that’s a positive outcome. [More]

Remember the good old days before Democrats f_d it all up?
Defense against highwaymen in Colonial America and the early American frontier involved a combination of armed passengers, specialized weaponry, and defensive tactics, as stagecoaches were frequently targeted for mail, cash, and passenger valuables… A common weapon for guarding coaches was the blunderbuss, a short-barreled shotgun-like firearm ideal for close-quarters combat.
