Can it get more in-your-face that this is about the politics of destruction than this? Among other things, this seems like a blatant punitive violation of the First Amendment. Then again, why would that slow down someone who believes they can get away with eviscerating the Second?

But OK, just make sure none of the “authorized” instructors got their certifications from NRA. Then again, those imposing this won’t mind if a shortage means New Yorkers can’t get permits– they’re no doubt counting on it.

Maybe the Moms can do the training from now on. They claim to be “commonsense gun safety” experts.

Any gun or ammunition supplier who arms New York state enforcement entities is giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

This, of course, is one more nose-thumbing at SCOTUS and its Bruen decision. It won’t stand unless we get court packing in the years it will take to go through the challenge and appeals process, and meanwhile, the state will have unlimited resources while the plaintiffs will have to scramble and compete for them.

That it would be countenanced in a U.S. court shows how serious the power structure is to shut down forbidden speech.

How many of Jones’ “millions” of followers committed an illegal act? How many “threats” were actually sentiments? How many transitioned into actual meatspace attacks?

And as long as I dragged Mike’s name into this, he knew what it was like to be blamed for the actions of others.

Who does the Jones verdict and sentence chill and discourage? Who is turning cartwheels?

Time was the left at least pretended to be all about free speech. That’s for the benefit of the useful idiots and to accelerate social degradation — until there’s the confidence that masks can be dropped, as just happened with this order.

I was thinking of titling this “Calling All Provocateurs,” but don’t want to be seen as discouraging honest efforts.  That said, I’m staying away from politically-charged crowds these days, especially ones monitored by corrupt feds planning on coming for you in force afterward at a time and place of their choosing.

Then again, some will counter, if we give our right to peaceably assemble up to that, in a way the enemies have won.

Me, I’m thinking a developing “wartime” footing makes the idea of a peaceable assembly a wishful thinking illusion, we’re beyond that now, and the new rules are, let the other guy be the one who’s vulnerable.
