When Seconds Count

Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch said deputies responded to a home in Wilmer just after 2:30 a.m., where they discovered the three bodies in separate rooms with their hands tied behind their backs. The victims were identified as 46-year-old Lisa Gail Fields, who was stabbed; 17-year-old Keziah Arionna Luker, who was shot; and 12-year-old Thomas Cordelle Jr., who had his throat cut and was nearly decapitated. If this were your home, would you be glad you followed this advice?

And yeah, sometimes crucifixion is the answer.

Fight Could Have Been Avoided

DOJ Surrenders its Appeal in Fight Over ATF “Engaged in the Business” Rule… After the enormous pressure brought to bear by gun owners, DOJ is seeking a dismissal allowing the case to return to district court.  [More]

Why was “enormous pressure” needed? What kind of resources had to be expended that now aren’t available to fight other infringements and advance the ball?

Why couldn’t it have been a tick box for the task force?

There I go “blackpilling” again.

What, there’s no room for that in the dialog…?

And what happens after Republicans blow things?

Now Hiring

Although you might not think so, but this is a huge deal, folks. The United States Department of Justice, including the Office of Civil Rights that fights for our right to keep and bear arms just announced that they’re going to start to hire people that do not live inside the beltway. [Watch]

So… they’re going to be employees, beholden to the hand that feeds them…? They’re going to do what they’re told they can do, and no more…? And not be able to share their disagreements if they want to stay on…? Say, will those eligible include lawyers currently suing ATF and DOJ, or would that be a conflict?

Meanwhile, the people whose lives and freedoms are being decided are still locked out, ears pressed against the door…?

While there are multiple options to include them…?

Now, something like that would be a huge deal.

Flag on the Play

Governor DeWine Orders Flags Lowered in Honor of Former Ohio House of Representatives Member William ‘Bill’ Patmon [More]

The Democrat who opposed “stand your ground” and instead demanded to impose “lock up your safety”…? And said “Everything that looks like a gun and is not should not be on our streets”…?

I think I’ll see if I can raise mine up a notch.

There are no “friends across the aisle.”

And with friends like DeWine

Blast from the Past

The polybolos, literally “multiple thrower,” was a chain-driven freestanding catapult that fired metal-tipped bolts from a magazine in quick-repeating succession, automatically, according to a description by Philo of Byzantium, a Greek engineer living in the third century b.c. [More]

But the Founders could have never imagined weapons that could fire multiple rounds…

NC Action Alert

It’s time once again to remind NC House of Representative Speaker Destin Hall and Rules Chair John Bell, that it’s time to demand a floor vote to the override of Josh Stein’s veto of SB50, Freedom to Carry. [More]

I wonder how many NC gun owners will actually take a minute to do this and what percentage that will be of those who complain about infringements.

I wonder how much more an Ohio boy has been doing for years than many NC citizens.

Friends, Ya Got Trouble!

Three University of Iowa students were shot during a fight at the Ped Mall in Iowa City early Sunday morning, according to a statement from the University President. [More]

Who’s surprised by the “persons of interest”?

I was surprised that preemption means it’s not a “gun-free zone.”

Don’t worry– Iowa Satanists are working hard to change that.

Remember when the worst crime Iowans had to worry about was a con man selling band uniforms?

We’re the Only Ones Fogged Up Enough

“Nevada quietly signed an agreement earlier this year with a company that collects location data from cellphones, allowing police to track a device virtually in real time,” reports the Associated Press. “All without a warrant.” The software from Fog Data Science, adopted this January in Nevada through a Department of Public Safety contract, pulls information from smartphone apps in order to let state investigators identify the location of mobile devices. [More]

No warrant needed and the only thing limiting usage is an agreement…?

Think how much the state could save on traffic stops if it let AI send out speeding tickets! Besides, if you’re not doing anything wrong, you shouldn’t need the Fourth and Fifth Amendments.
