We’re the Only Ones Disarmed Enough

Sheriff Jim DeWees said he canceled his deputies’ participation because the Orioles would not allow them to carry their guns during the event. “I think the decision is just blatantly ignorant,” DeWees said, expressing his frustration with the Orioles’ policy, which he believes puts his deputies at risk. A meme comes to mind.

I’ve written about public disarmament at sporting and other mass public venues plenty of times, and there’s one discussion I’d like to hear some thoughts on, specifically, observing Cooper’s rule about what’s behind your target.

…Republicans are looking to Parliamentarian of the Senate Elizabeth MacDonough to make her determination on if such measures will survive the “Byrd bath” or become “Byrd droppings.” [More]

Politicians sure do come up with all kinds of convoluted complications over something as simple as “shall not be infringed.”

RELATED UPDATE

I ended the piece with GOA’s latest announcement that “the Senate’s version of the “One Big Beautiful Bill” now includes full repeal of the $200 NFA tax on: Suppressors Short-barreled rifles (SBRs) Short-barreled shotguns (SBSs) “Any Other Weapons” (AOWs).”

Here’s the rev. of the bill. Start on pg. 261.

Twenty-five year old Deja Foxx is vying for more than a seat in Congress. She’s looking to be part of a root-and-branch overhaul of the Democratic Party. [More]

If she’s the next “It Girl” for fresh new ideas, how come she’s pushing the same old ones on guns?

“We see gun violence as an intersectional issue,” Foxx said. “We want to see common-sense regulation that will keep us safe in school.” She says that means banning military-grade weaponry and not arming teachers. “The Second Amendment was written in a time when those guns weren’t even conceived,” Foxx said.

And her economic platform is even older school.

A Gun Sense Candidate

And by “Trump,” she means the millions 0f Americans who support his agenda.

Here’s who supports Julie:

Don’t wait for Everytown or the Democrats to disavow her, because citizen disarmament never was about “commonsense gun safety.”

Typical: She deleted her X account. On Facebook, she makes excuses, evades accountability for inciting violence, and won’t let us comment. What a coward. She knew exactly what she was posting (we’ll see if she deletes that from her BlueSky account)

She was using her title so she wasn’t posting as a private individual. Looks like Julie doesn’t believe in the First Amendment any more than she does the Second.

And it looks like her deputy’s bomb threat was just a continuation of her policies.

How is it that anyone is really stupid enough to believe it’s about “commonsense gun safety“?
